Salad Health benefits in our daily diet

Incorporating salad into your daily diet is very beneficial to our health. And nowadays it seems that everyone is becoming health-conscious and strives to be healthier so we can not ignore salad health benefits in our life. Well, eating salads to increase your health is a no-brainier and it’s also super easy to find out at any local market.


Raw vegetables are packed with nutrition, fiber which plays a vital role in weight loss also!
Actually fiber comes from plants such as beans, grains, vegetables, and fruits. It passes through the body and makes very little change in our digestive system. That means that fiber provides few or no calories in addition to having many other health benefits.

Here is the recipe of spinach, sweetcorn, sprouts salad:

For Salad

Bunch of spinach, washed & roughly chopped
1 cup Moong sprouted
1 cup sweet corn
handful peanuts, soaked overnight
6-7 florets of broccoli
6-7 almonds, soaked overnight
1 tomato
2 pieces of Paneer(cottage cheese), crumbled

For Dressing

1 tablespoon coconut oil
2 tablespoon lime juice
1 pinch black pepper powder
2 pinch black salt
2 pinch cumin seeds roasted, fennel seeds, cinnamon powder (ratio 2 : 1: 1)

For Garnishing

6-7 basil leaves , roughly chopped
7-8 strands coriander leaves , roughly chopped
4-5 mint leaves , roughly chopped
1 tsp sunflower seeds, roasted
1 tsp sesame seeds roasted


Steam the salad ingredients for around 7-8 minutes till veggies, sweet corn & sprouts become tender. So first layer is of the sprouts, peanuts, broccoli, spinach followed by chopped tomato. Then place pot of boiling water and let it steam. After 8 minutes turn off gas and add Paneer, chopped almonds, half of chopped Basil, coriander and mint leaves and cover the lid and let it cool off. In a small bowl take all the dressing ingredients and whisk.
Remove steamed salad ingredients in a salad bowl, pour dressing, toss in roasted seeds and garnish with rest of the leaves.
